i did a mini guide on ear tips..and here’s the list enjoy!

1) the normal silicone ones: these definitely come with ur players and may range from normal ones like:

or double flanges:

the stock ear tips are the worst in sound isolation, followed by the double flanges.

2) disposable ear foam tips: these do not last forever and onli last for three weeks to a month. but they provided 2nd best sound isolation. one brand is called [URL="http://www.complyfoam.com"]Comply[/URL]

3)lastly, the customs, where u go to somewhere and have a mold done with the inside of your ear and u have earphones only u can wear:

Install SIMBL
- Quit Safari.
- If you use old version with old way, move “/Users/YOU/Library/InputManagers/SafariStand” to trash (or other location) .
- move “SafariStand.bundle” into your SIMBL plugin folder.
* Result path is “/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/SafariStand.bundle” or “/Users/YOU/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/SafariStand.bundle”.

If SafariStand doesn’t work, you need fix privilege of InputManager (SIMBL).
Execute this command in Terminal.app 
sudo chown -R root:admin /Library/InputManagers
or use Input Managers (http://blog.greatascent.com/archives/18).

There is also SIMBL compatible loader such as PlugSuit and PimpKit.

If you want to copy setting from other Mac, copy these file and folder.

i personally never jailbreak my iphone, something i will do in the future when i get bored of it, but in the meantime some links to help people who want to jailbreak to get started.

not sure if you are like me, but when i transfer songs into my iphone, i tend to group them into “albums” to facilitate cover flow. but manually changing album names are a pain, so i found out something cool: you can select a few albums, then right click and click on get info, and type in the album name u want. all the different albums will then be grouped under one “album” cheers!

• when looking for cases for iphone, its good to check if these are included:

1. screen protector.
2. port connectors ( pieces of rubber/silicon/plastic that covers ur earphone and dock port)
3. check if the buttons are covered. if they are, are they still easy to press?
4. the feel of the phone. does it attract lots of lint? friction is right?

now, in NUS we will all have presentations at some point. dun u ever wish u had a clicker to navigate through ur pdfs, docs or powerpoint presentations? one great way is to use a wireless or bluetooth mouse. However, for those not wanting to look awkard with a mouse on your hand, do give the apple remote a try. its comes with 2007macbook/pros and before, but not the 2008 ones , so u guys may wanna check out the apple store for them. It costs 34bucks, and its well worth the money are u are a couch potato or do give frequent presentations.

by default, the clicker is used for navigating around front row , changing tracks on itunes, and changing universal volume. navigating through the slides of powerpoint works too, but thats all u get. By purchasing the software listed below, you can actually get the remote to do a lot more stuff, like using it as a virtual mouse, navigating through any application and more. do give them a try:

Personally i kinda preferred Yojimbo… trying it out for a month and see how it goes… it has these drawer thinggy at the side which u can drag and drop ur pdfs into folders tat u can organised like, “MA1505, 1431″ and stuff like this. easier that allocating them into specific folders which i used to do.

hey if u guys managed to download crossover over the lame duck challenge previously, do take note tat the C compiler designed for windows happens to run well on it. great news for all mac users doing C programming.

i am taking 1505 this semester, and the topic on Surface integrals with all the stokes’ theorem is really killing me. one program tat helps me draw 2d and 3d graphs is a program called grapher ( spotlight it). its really useful for visualising stuff.
